This collection, arranged numerically by certificate numbers, contains a record of the registration of veterinarians by the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Information recorded varies with the time period. The early books give the registrant’s name, address (including county), and date of birth; the college of graduation and the dates attended; the certificate number (during the 1930s); the date and county of first registration; and the dates that the registration fees were paid. The more modern books do not record the birth date (after 1951), data regarding first registration (from the 1940s on), or the dates fees were paid. As needed, however, the date that the person died is recorded somewhere on the registration page.
