Tips for Site Coordinators

  • If you have questions about the software, serving patrons using VR, to share great scripts that you have created, etc., please feel free to send your message to the Admin listserv. 
  • If you need to get a shift covered on short notice, please send a request to swap shifts to the listserv. 

POLICES
Please review your FAQ/Policy Pages and edit them as needed.

  1. From the LibAnswers dashboard, go to Answers – FAQ Entries
  2. Find your library’s FAQ document and click on it
  3. Make edits as needed
  4. Click the Save button when finished

It is important that your FAQ/Policies are accurate and detailed as they are the primary tool for librarians from PA and beyond that are serving your customers.

E-MAIL NOTIFICATION
Unless otherwise set up, if you are the Site Coordinator for your library, your email will be the main contact in LibAnswers for whenever “new” ticket arrives.  Examples of “new” tickets would be when a librarian serving one of your patrons creates a ticket from their chat session or if a patron responds to a follow-up response you have sent to them. To determine if you have the correct email address in place:

  1. From the LibAnswers dashboard, go to Admin – Queues
  2. Click the Edit button to the right of your queue
  3. Navigate to the Notifications tab and verify the email address listed in the Notification Email section
  4. If needed, update the address listed
  5. To enter multiple email addresses, separate each email address with a space
