Access Pennsylvania Catalog and ILL System

The Access Pennsylvania Catalog and ILL System is a coordinated resource-sharing program of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.

The Access Pennsylvania Catalog is constantly being updated and as of May 2022, comprises of 7.8M titles, including books, eBooks, periodicals, DVDs, and more. With nearly 40M holdings, the Access Pennsylvania Catalog was the first, and remains the largest, statewide bibliographic union catalog in North America.

Since April 2002, more than 1.9 million items, including books, eBooks, DVDs, journals, and more have been loaned throughout the Commonwealth. But the Statewide Catalog does not replace strong, well-developed library collections. Individual libraries must continue to develop collections that meet the needs of their communities.

Currently, over 1,400 institutions participate in the Access Pennsylvania Catalog and ILL program.
